Script Haven: Dynamic Drive

This article was originally published in my old and now defunct blog on February 1, 2008. Original text is italicized.

Not all web designers are leet programmers and that’s when script sites come in handy! One of the sites I’ve patronized to look for ready-made scripts to add a little spice and convenience to my pages is Dynamic Drive.

One of the scripts I’m currently using from there is this a really neat image viewer. When you click on a thumbnail, it pops up the image in this nicely framed Mac-looking box. Not only that, you can continue looking through the set of images without having to close and click, close and click. You can find it in full use at my Your Art page at Manga Tutorials. Pretty swank eh?

Of course, there are all other kinds of scripts you can find there too from clocks, calendars, menu, mouse, text animations, scrollers, and even games! :O Instructions are typically easy, I’ve found, and shouldn’t take that long to set up in your page. Have a look there when you want to set something up quickly and easily.

Dynamic Drive isn’t the only site with readily available scripts. Do a search on Google or Yahoo and you should see multiple sites out there that provide these quick and nifty codes. If you’re a seasoned programmer, don’t overlook these ready-made scripts because they can save you time and let’s face it… you can’t turn back time.
